Success

Stories

Hear from people who have enjoyed working with Ruth to pursue their own health goals.

Meet Ruth's husband, Bob.  He happens to have type 2 diabetes and was on medication for high blood pressure.  He had numerous food intolerances which were causing digestive difficulties.

When Ruth began to change the way she cooked, I ate very differently and got completely away from eating processed foods.  I also began walking a lot. I lost 65 pounds and with my doctor's approval got off of oral diabetes medication and later my blood pressure medication.  I learned to avoid foods which caused my digestive discomfort and feel remarkably better!

We took up ballroom dancing and both of us took yoga and began to walk more.  We like to go cross country skiing and snowshoeing but not during this extremely cold weather. Recently we joined a YMCA.

"Ruth Jacobs has been a life saver! I was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in my hips and knees and was very resistant to changing my diet and my life style before I met Ruth. I knew, intellectually, that I needed to make a big change but I was completely lost as to how to actually do it. I got a few books and tried it on my own, but it was only when I had someone as committed to my wellness or perhaps more committed as Ruth has been, was I able to make changes. I started out small, she let me feel my way through and was so encouraging and helpful. She did extra research and followed up on everything we discussed. She made it personal and sent me articles between sessions to bolster my confidence. When I started working with Ruth, I was 225 pounds in November. I am now at 190 and well on my way to my first target of 180. I cannot recommend her enough! She has changed the way I look at myself and my health and I am forever in her debt!"
